It Takes a Village !

At It Takes a Village we strive to:

Create a safe space for Children and Families to receive the supports they need
Put an end to the child abuse threat right away.
Reduce the amount of stress that guardians and caregivers are under.
Relieve guardians of their responsibilities for a brief time to receive supports to deal with their circumstances
Support guardians in analyzing and identifying the underlying issues and creating a plan to solve or mitigate the issue of the crisis.
Assist guardians/ caregivers in developing a plan to cope with their current crisis situation and prevent future crisis

They are connected with an organization that is ready to support and connect them with the resources they may need
ITAV support workers, work with the family to develop goals and a plan to de-escalate and prevent the reoccurrence of crisis in the future.
Families can call the ITAV crisis line 365 days a year, for guidance and support.
Families are given the opportunity to receive continued support after they leave the program and are encouraged to keep in touch for support.

ITAV provides a safe, nurturing haven during a time of family crisis.
The ITAV team consists of trauma-trained staff and volunteers who are dedicated to supporting children during their stay.
Children are engaged in meaningful experiences that support their developmental needs.
