The Black Canadian Child and Family Services Society (BCCFSS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting and empowering Black children, youth, families, and seniors by providing culturally responsive programs and services. Our mission is to strengthen Black communities through advocacy, education, and direct support, ensuring that every child and family has access to the resources they need to thrive.

We are committed to addressing the systemic barriers that disproportionately affect Black families, particularly those involved in the child welfare system. Our organization provides culturally informed support to Black children in care, advocates for family reunification, and works to prevent unnecessary family separation through community-based interventions

Children and Youth Programs
These programs are designed to uplift and support Black children and youth by providing culturally responsive mentorship, education, and personal development opportunities. This program fosters a strong sense of identity, resilience, and leadership skills, equipping young people with the tools they need to succeed in all aspects of life.

Family Supports
These programs are dedicated to empowering Black families by providing culturally responsive resources, education, and support services. This program focuses on strengthening family bonds, enhancing parenting skills, and addressing systemic barriers that impact Black families. Through community-driven initiatives, BFSSP fosters resilience, stability, and well-being for families at every stage of life.

Culture and Community
This program is designed to celebrate, preserve, and promote Black culture while fostering a strong and connected community. This program provides opportunities for cultural expression, education, and collective empowerment through events, workshops, and initiatives that honor Black heritage and identity

Seniors
This program is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Black seniors by providing culturally relevant services, social engagement, and wellness support. This program fosters community connections, promotes healthy aging, and ensures that Black elders receive the respect, care, and resources they deserve

Victim Services Supports
This program provides culturally responsive support, resources, and advocacy for Black individuals and families who have experienced violence, discrimination, or systemic injustice. This program ensures that victims receive compassionate, trauma-informed care while empowering them to heal, seek justice, and rebuild their lives.

Child Welfare
This program is dedicated to supporting Black children and families involved in the child welfare system by providing culturally responsive advocacy, resources, and interventions. This program works to prevent unnecessary family separations, support reunification efforts, and ensure Black children in care receive culturally competent services that honor their identity, heritage, and well-being
